Chemical Safety Guidelines
  • !!NEVER mix chlorine with acid. Produces toxic chlorine gas.
  • !!Always add chemicals to water, never water to chemicals.
  • !!Wear gloves and eye protection when handling pool chemicals.
  • !!Add chemicals one at a time with at least 30 minutes between additions.
  • !!Store chemicals in a cool, dry place away from sunlight and each other.
  • !!Retest water 4-24 hours after adding chemicals before swimming.
